Kinbrylie Diary Page April 2011

Hello friends and welcome back to the diary.  Such a lot has happened since I was last in touch.  The main event was the birth of our lovely grandson, Alexander.  He arrived on March 1st and is our pride and joy.

Mum Aileen (our daughter), Dad Kris and Alexander

Although he lives inAberdeen, last weekend we went to Glasgow to babysit while his Mum and Dad went to a concert.  On our way home, the next day, the weather was wonderful and I couldn't resist taking some photographs in Glencoe.

This was taken from the layby at the top of the Black Mount .

Again from the Layby looking down over Loch Tulla towards the south.

Looking West from the Layby to the Hills of Lorn

and the mountains of Lorn

Another westerly view of the hills bordering Loch Etive

Glencoe can be easily visited from here and, apart from its beautiful scenery, it is steeped in history.

Next month I will definitely have some local pictures for you as it seems to be a long time since I have taken any.  Our family of roe deer are still around the garden, mum looks as if she is not too far from calving and of course the pheasants are at their best and noisiest just now.

See you next time.
